Cancer Rehabilitation is a comprehensive approach that helps the cancer client manage and minimise the side effects of cancer and its treatment. It aims to restore function, maintain independence and improve quality of life.
The goal is to reduce side effects such as fatigue, pain, deconditioning and promotes self-management and independence through one-to-one assessments and tailored exercise programs. It is recommended at all stages of cancer treatment. As part of our community physical activity support program, we liaise with local sports partnerships and community organisations to help you reengage in physical activity in your community.
The service is led by our PINC and Steel Certified Senior Cancer Rehabilitation Physiotherapist in our Cork and Bantry Houses.
