Anne Rath, born in Wexford and now residing in Cork, transitioned from a decade of teaching to pursue academic studies at Harvard University, where she earned both Master’s and doctoral degrees. As a UCC lecturer, her research on reflective practice appears in various academic journals.

An accredited IACP psychotherapist, Anne leads creative writing workshops as an AWA certified teacher and belongs to the International Women’s Writing Guild. Her literary achievements include being longlisted for emerging poet awards, having her poem “Via Dolorosa is a 600 Metre Sprint” shortlisted for The Plough International Poetry Competition, and receiving multiple Arts Council of Ireland literature awards.

Currently developing as a textile artist at MTU Crawford College of Art and Design, Anne’s work has featured in exhibitions including “Textiles Reimagined” and MTU’s “Make Exhibition.” Beyond her professional pursuits, she enjoys traveling, gardening, and wild swimming.
