We are delighted to announce that the annual Cork ARC Cancer Support House Spring Fundraising Ball is set to return on Friday February 24th, 2023.
Next year’s event is again sponsored by Floortech, an industrial flooring and surface supplier based in Little Island, and aims to be the charity’s premier fundraising event to raise vital funds to support cancer patients and their loved ones in Cork.
The ball will take place at the Clayton Hotel Silver Springs, and will be a black tie event. Held in association with Sunshine and Umbrellas, organisers have promised a 4-course meal with wine, and live entertainment as the ball returns post-pandemic.
It will also feature an exciting auction, with unique experiences up for grabs. Patrons can bid on the night if attending the ball, or live online at corkcancersupport.ie on the night of Friday February 24th.
Speaking at the launch of the event, Cork ARC Cancer Support House General Manager Catriona O’Mahony said:
“In 2022 we have seen a marked increase in the number of people making contact with us for the first time, and unfortunately this trend is likely to continue. We rely almost entirely on the generosity of the public to continue providing support for people with cancer and their loved ones. This is why events like the Cork ARC Cancer Support House Spring Ball are so important to us as a vital source of fundraising to continue supporting those who need us.”
CEO of Floortech, Tony Lehane, said:
“We have been involved with the Annual Cork ARC Cancer Support House Ball for many years now and I am proud to continue this as the event returns after Covid. It is very humbling to see the dedication and support that Cork ARC Cancer Support House provides for patients and their families, and their new state-of-the-art centre of excellence at Sarsfield Road is a true testament to this, and their ambitions to ensure nobody has to go through cancer alone. I would urge the people of Cork to support this wonderful charity in any way they can to ensure that those who need their support can access it free of charge.”
Tickets are currently sold out, but a waiting list has been made available at fundraising@corkcancersupport.ie, and any businesses that would like to get involved or who may have a prize for the live auction are encouraged to make contact with Cork ARC Cancer Support House at the above address.
