Breast Cancer Support

Breast Cancer Support

At Cork ARC Cancer Support House we understand the impact that a breast cancer diagnosis can have on you and your family, and our dedicated Breast Cancer Nurse Counsellor offers support and compassion every step of the way.

We offer a tailored range of supports to help you through your breast cancer journey.

The role of Fiona Moriarty, the Breast Cancer Nurse Counsellor at Cork ARC, is to support those who have been diagnosed with breast cancer and their families through a dedicated support programme.

It involves creating supports either on a one-to-one basis or within a group setting. This includes giving practical advice, emotional and psychological support, as well as facilitating education sessions that help manage the impact of breast cancer.

“I felt strangely alone when my treatment ended, so I joined the Cork ARC Breast Cancer Support Group. It was so helpful to hear other people’s experiences and realise I was not alone – knowing that what you feel is both normal and natural.”
