Pilates for Women After Breast Cancer

Pilates for Women After Breast Cancer

Pilates is a low-impact, gentle form of exercise which improves core strength, flexibility and control. Pilates exercises help to develop muscular flexibility and strength while encouraging lymphatic, respiratory and circulatory function.

Led by Louise Mannix-Kennedy, our adapted pilates programme allows for a relaxed introduction or reintroduction of movements helping to improve strength and range of motion after treatment or surgery.

This programme helps to stretch and strengthen the shoulders, chest and back, allowing the patient to improve their range of motion and strength in the areas most affected by breast cancer surgery and treatment.

In addition to physical benefits, Pilates can help to improve your posture, alleviate your pain, reduce stress and improve your energy levels.

This programme, as with all of our services, is available free of charge. However, booking is necessary as places are extremely limited.
