The Cork City Marathon is back! 10,000 runners from all over Ireland and the world are expected to pound Cork’s streets on Sunday 5th June, 2022 for one of the first 2022 marathons on the running calendar.
Will you go the extra mile and be a part of Cork ARC Cancer Support House’s taskforce to positively impact the lives of cancer patients, their loved ones and carer’s by offering powerful therapeutic interventions for people to live and deal with cancer, free of charge. Your support will mean improved quality of life and outcomes for both patients and their loved ones.
Now in it’s 14th year, this premier event in the marathon calendar will start on Cork’s Patrick’s Street and wind it’s way around the city to end back where it started.
The 2022 marathon features all the classic events of previous years including the Full and Half Marathon, Relay and Youth Challenge. The Team Relay challenge is unique to the Cork City Marathon, with teams of between two and five members combining to cover the 26.2-mile distance. In 2013, the Youth Team Relay was introduced, providing an opportunity for young people between the ages of 16 and 18 to participate in what is one of the most challenging and rewarding sporting and personal achievements.
