Our Monday evening live guided practice will be led by Marie O’Mahony who has been volunteering with Cork ARC as a Counsellor since 2014. Marie is a trained teacher of Mindfulness Based Interventions and has been leading the Hour of Calm in Cork recently.
Our Wednesday morning live guided practices will be led by John Douglas who has been volunteering with Cork ARC as a Counsellor since 2015. John regularly leads meditation weekends at Dzogchen Beara Buddhist Centre near Allihies and has led the Hour of Calm in Bantry and in Cork many times.

Stress Control is a free programme which teaches you how to manage stress. It is for anyone over 15 years of age. It was developed by Dr Jim White, an internationally renowned Consultant Clinical Psychologist, Cognitive Behavioural Therapist and researcher in Scotland. It is now, by far, the most widely-used stress management course within the NHS (UK) and HSE.
As the NHS and HSE can’t deliver their Stress Control classes in the community just now, Dr Jim White will, instead, live-stream the classes, free-of-charge, starting on Monday 13th April.
You can watch the sessions either in the afternoon or evening. To participate or for more information, click here https://stresscontrol.org/
We also have a dedicated section on our website to support health care workers working on the frontline. This includes relaxation exercises and again we will be constantly adding to the page:
